Inspired by the historic Nessmuk knife, the TOPS Camp Creek was designed as a hybrid hunting and camp knife. Debuting CPM S35VN stainless steel it is a top-selling hunting knife and the Camp Creek Fire Edition is likely to be just as successful. A parallel evolution, the Fire Edition has a fuller handle and slightly larger blade with more belly and a less pointed tip. The Nessmuk DNA is still there making this knife ideal for skinning and general utility. This version comes with a tumbled CPM-S35VN blade with red and black G10 handle scales.
Brand new directly from TOPS Knives.
Blade: With a high saber grind the broad skinner blade is an excellent slicer with good belly and strategic jimping for added control. Tumbled S35VN hides wear and offers solid performance with minimal maintenance. A small choil is provided for full sharpening.
Handle: Red on black G10 handle scales are fixed to the tang with stainless steel hardware and dual aluminum lanyard pins. The handle is well contoured for comfort in extended use with enough milled texture for good traction and a deep index choil for leverage and safety in use. Scallops near the choil for added comfort when gripping the blade for fine work.
Carries via a black leather pouch sheath.
CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has better edge retention and toughness compared to 440C or VG10, with equivalent corrosion resistance.
